The Zen Institute: Beauty Perfected From Within
While holiday season is meant to bring feelings of love and cheer, it's also a season for stress, anxiety, and feeling frantic for many because of all the party planning, gift shopping and entertaining of guests.
One way of beating the holiday stress is taking care of your skin. Of course, you would want to seek help from the right people and a credible medical spa. The Zen Institute has been in the beauty and wellness industry for 13 years now and has been nominated as Medi-Spa of the Year by Asia Spa Awards.
So when they launched their 4th branch in Binondo last November, I hurriedly went there to learn more about them and the services that they offer. I also got to try one of their treatments and that's the best part.
I was fortunate enough to have met Dr. Mary Jane "MJ" Torres, the founder and owner of The Zen Institute. She shared a quick background on how she started the business--wherein her mom got sick and so she wanted to be part of her healing journey. She was inspired to formulate her own products, learned and gained extensive experiences through training here and abroad.
All of her hard work paid off now that The Zen Institute is recognized and trusted by many. It is good to know that The Zen Institute stands on 4 pillars as its guiding philosophy in providing holistic solutions: Aesthetics, Integrative Medicine, Lifestyle and Pampering. The first, Aesthetics, involves non-invasive procedures designed to enhance and further highlight one's extrinsic qualities. By including the second, Integrative Medicine, beauty from within is further augmented through various protocol-based medical treatments. Then integrating nutritional and fitness programs into one's Lifestyle and Pampering by way of the Spa and Therapeutic Massage.
Since achieving beauty beyond perfection is what The Zen Institute is pushing for, they are providing various treatments that are tailor fitted to every persons' needs. From Teenage Treatment (ages 19 and below), Preventive (ages 20-39), Anti-Aging (ages 40-59), Motherly Care, to Athletic Aptitude, The Zen Institute is present in every step of your beauty journey.
Not to mention, The Zen Institute's treatments do away with the pressures that necessitate the use of invasive and potentially traumatic shortcuts. That sounded really great especially for someone like me who's afraid of the tiis-ganda procedures.
(Room is clean and spacious)
With that said, I tried one of their Preventive Treatments, the Resolift, which uses state of the art Italian innovation for collagen induction by administering frequencies of energy in pulses without heat. to avoid risks of burns or hyperpigmentation, It increases elasticity of the skin and tightens loose skin on the face and neck.
(machine used for Resolift)
First, they cleansed my face by using hypoallergenic soap to remove makeup and unwanted dirt. Then another layer of hyposoap is applied onto my face before the machine treatment procedure. The treatment session went on for 15 minutes or more. I felt a bit of a healthy heat on the skin and saw a bit of contour effect on my face right after. However, the dermatologist informed me that it is still best to complete the 10 sessions of Resolift for actual results to take full effect. Overall, I like that is is non-invasive and that the procedure requires no downtime. It might be a bit costly but it would be a good investment for myself and I can't wait to try the rest of their services. I believe in what Dr. MJ Torres said, that is better to invest in preventive care than to wait for sickness to happen.
