It's Always A Good Hair Day At Jesi Mendez Salon BGC

With my busy schedule--juggling meetings, blogger events and doing work at the same time, visiting the salon is the last thing on my mind. But as they say, "Invest in your hair, it is the crown you never take off.". So last month, I went to Jesi Mendez Salon BGC at their event entitled Blooming Summer Beauty Fair. They had a BUY 1 TAKE 1 promo on all their services and free pampering session for me and a few other bloggers.

I got to experience an awesome hair treatment using Davines Philippines OI Essential Hair Care products (oil, shampoo, conditioner, and all in one milk). The procedure was sting-free and relaxing, and I like how the texture of the products are light on the head. Achieving cleaner, shinier, and tangle-free hair is possible with Davines.

After that, they styled my hair using the infamous Dyson Philippines Supersonic hair dryer. I swear, this hair dryer is a game changer--It protects the hair from extreme heat damage, with fast drying and controlled styling. Plus, it comes with three magnetic tools (diffuser, styling concentrator and smoothing nozzle) which can be helpful for everyday use. I must say it is very functional and user-friendly equipment even for non-hairstylists.

Of course, I had to take tons of selfies of my hair transformation before the baby curls fall flat. Take note, they only used a hair dryer to curl it. Amazing, right?

But it's not just that. The exciting part of the event for me was when I met Mr. Jesi Mendez himself! It's not everyday that you meet and get to chat with the owner of a premier beauty salon who has been in the business for over 50 years.

Mr. Jesi Mendez actually finished with a degree in Fine Arts in UST and started working as a fashion designer 2 years after graduating. On the ground floor of the dress shop where he was working was a salon and he got enticed by what they were doing there. So he started attending hairdressing seminars, studied abroad and gained more experience with the craft. That's when he realized he really likes what he's doing.

He shared that the vital keys to success are love and passion for work, consistency, and right attitude. With that said, Jesi Mendez Salon always keeps up to the trends even with the continuous booming and increasing numbers of beauty services. In fact, Jesi Mendez' eldest daughter Viana continues his legacy and now manages some of their branches where they offer semi-permanent makeup. No wonder celebrities and consumers alike embrace Jesi Mendez Salon through the years.
